Milan Design Week 2014
From the 8th to the 13th of April 2014, at Via Tortona in Milan, Peugeot Design Lab created an exhibition space for the unveiling of the Onyx Sofa and to display the Peugeot Design Lab Piano for Pleyel.
The many visitors discovered a show, featuring the Peugeot Design Lab piano for Pleyel, with beams of light coming to life in response to the sound of the pianists own compositions, for a dramatic musical and visual experience.
Next the visitors were than invited to view a selection of the most iconic non-automotive objects to have marked Peugeot's history since 1810, on loan from the Peugeot museum in Sochaux.
The main exhibition area contained the stage for the Onyx sofa, a spectacular object made from Volvic lava stone and carbon fiber. The sofa was placed in the center of the room, in front of a waterfall, recalling the fact that the Volvic stone had filtered water for thousands of years. Surrounding the sofa was a display of sculptures in various materials representing future designs ideas for made to measure furniture.
