Onyx Projects - Leo'z Onyx Series

Leo'z Onyx Series

These lion cub figurines have been cast in resin and brought to life thanks to the designers, graphic designers and illustrators of the Peugeot Design Centre. Their inspiration was diverse and included contemporary art, poetry, chemistry, street culture, architecture and fashion.

In design terms these ArtToys are the link between the world of children, since the form of the lion was first seen in the Peugeot plush mascot, and that of the adult due to the complexity and intricacy of the designs. The Onyx supercar also served as a source inspiration, especially the colors, with a repeat of that cars striking black and copper finishes.

A total of 12 figurines have been designed, each one reflecting its artist’s particular skills. Long and meticulous handwork was then involved in bringing them to life. Each one is unique and takes the viewer into the artistic imagination of its creator.
