Peugeot Cycle / Concept Bike eDL132

The eDL132 is a high performance urban electric bike. Light, fast and powerful, it provides a great ride and stylish take on this new form of transport. The bikes highlights are its sportiness and refined aesthetics.

++

The design is defined by its taut, crisp lines, which evoke controlled power. The main tubes taper elegantly as they arc rearwards from the inverted ‘U’ at the head tube, creating a dynamic silhouette. The color scheme, consisting of a satin black base with a vibrant orange accent, provides the perfect finish. Even when stationary the eDL132 appears energetic.

The bike is powered by a powerful electric motor, installed at the bottom bracket and completely integrated into the form, adding to the sporty look. A long range battery is positioned in the lower frame and can be either removed or left in place for recharging. The eDL131 is equipped with front and rear disc brakes, a belt drive and an 11 speed transmission with electronic shift buttons on the handlebars.

The bikes neat and simple shape is optimize to reduce its passage through the air. Everything is integrated and coherent. The powerful LED rear light is part of the saddle while the front light integrates into the handlebars.  All the cables are hidden to finish the flawless look of the bike. The controls are all in the same clean and fluid surface and fall easily to the riders hands. There is a touch screen to select the drive mode, and display all relevant information, such as performance, GPS, battery status etc.

Peugeot Cycles / Onyx Superbike

As direct result of Peugeot Cycles extensive bicycle racing experience, the Onyx concept looks to the future of time trial bikes with an original, modern and super-efficient design.

++

Adapting Peugeot’s future design language, launched on all three Onyx concepts, into the world of bicycles creates radical solutions, in terms of style and aerodynamics.

The taut lines and slender profile of the carbon fiber monocoque frame optimize penetration of the air. Also constructed in carbon fiber the wheels, with 80mm deep rims, add to the efficiency of the overall package.

Everything is fully integrated, including all the cables, the brakes and the battery which powers the fully electric gear shifting.

Intelligent design solutions mean that the cyclist can easy find the most efficient riding position, while the gear and brake controls both fall easily to hand. The oval chain rings further enhance the rider’s power transmission.

Cloaked in matt black and highlighted with a rich copper, the bike is a symbol of power and elegance, ready for the battle against the air and time.

Peugeot Cycles / Concept Bike eDL122

The eDL122 builds on the mobility concept of DL 122, while retaining its distinctive characteristics: agility, compactness and convenience.

++

With an electric motor located in the front wheel, the eDL122 is perfect for effortless, quiet, and clean urban use.

Powered by a compact plug-in battery, perfectly integrated into the frame, the bike retains a simple and elegant design without sacrificing the convenience and features of the previous model. The laptop bag and latest generation folding lock are still included whilst the battery is locked in place and can be removed or recharged directly in the bicycle. Battery range is ample for regular urban use. The cables are now totally concealed in the handle bars, whilst twist grip selectors operate both the gear and battery power modes.

The look of the bike has been reworked to be more urban. The wood retains its chic, natural appearance while the rear is now finished in high gloss black, with the model name discreetly highlighted. The exclusive leather work, including saddle, grips and the bag were all especially designed and created for the eDL122 by the team that trims the Peugeot concept cars.

Peugeot Cycles / Concept Bike DL122

Nimble, light, compact and convenient , the DL122 was conceived to meet the new urban mobility and sustainable development challenges.

++

It showcases several new features in this segment. Most significantly, there is a storage area in the center of the bike, large enough for a laptop bag. Also one of the latest generation folding locks is cleverly integrated in a specially designed support. The whole bike is designed to be as pure and dynamic as possible.

The choice of material is both chic and casual. The real wood is sleek and modern. The discrete touches of color are vibrant and fresh. The leather trimmed saddle, grips and messenger bag were all created especially for this bike by the same team who trim the Peugeot concept cars, working to the same standards of quality and design.

Peugeot Cycles / Concept Bike DL121

The DL121 is a research exercise in graphics, materials and colors. Produced as a limited edition, it makes no compromises in its aesthetic ambitions. The bike sits at the frontier between art and function.

++

The DL121 is an exploration in contrast:

- The contrast between function and aesthetics, with its primary objective the bringing together of the finest finishes and materials.

- The contrast of finishes. The design plays on the theme of a dynamic diagonal separation between the two halves of bicycle. At the front there is a deep and rich copper, while the rear is finished in pure brilliant white.

In addition, the DL121 Concept bike features innovative leatherwork. As well as the saddle there is also a luggage area ingeniously integrated into the frame. Double zips give easy access to a space ideal for precious objects such as a digital tablet.
