Located in the PSA design center, Peugeot Design Lab is not only built around a dedicated team of specialists, but also has full access to the resources & talent of the Peugeot Design centers in Paris, Shanghai & Sao Paulo.
The design of an object is directly linked to the visual identity & associated form language of its parent brand. The first step in the creation of new & innovative concepts and products is a phase of sketch exploration and research.

Even the best ideas alone do not guarantee the success of a project or product. The design development phase integrates all of the varied technical and manufacturing constraints. This phase is closely followed by our designers as well as our in house 3D modelers & engineers.
Modeling, be it 3D or physical, is seamlessly integrated into our process. The digital model is at the heart of our development process. We approach the physical development in stages using our milling machines and 3D scanners in order to alternate between the virtual and physical. This guarantees that the end products are not only technically feasible but are also ergonomically correct and beautiful.
The physical modeling phase is absolutely necessary in order to obtain a truly optimized design. We are equipped to develop models, working concepts & prototypes.
Quality is a cornerstone of a strong brand image. We are constantly preoccupied with the evolution and improvement of the perceived quality of our products.
Perceived quality not only plays a major role in the design development phase but it is the driving force in the industrialization of an object. In order to truly succeed in developing a quality finished product we must treat in detail the assembly, alignment & gaps between each component as well as paying particular attention to the finishes. For this reason our colors & trim designers, are particularly active during the industrialization phase. The choice and quality of materials is crucial to the communication of a products design and its brand image.
Every product requires a coherent communication strategy. An effective communication campaign valorizes not only the characteristics of the product but also serves to enrich the image of its parent brand.
The communication platform plays a role every time a client interacts with the product or brand: events, stands, point of sale, web, photos, catalogues & brochures.
In order to optimize the communication platform the design team advises on the development of the communication elements (photography angles, ambience, models, product presentation & lighting, digital imagery, catalogues, brochures and web design). Our internal team of specialists can cover all stages of the creation of the communication supports, from artistic direction to the total development of a communication campaign.
